Inquiries

How can I inquire about fruit sourcing or current allocations?

We allocate conservatively, our promises proscribed by the lower end of our projected harvest tonnage. This means that in most years we will have extra fruit but that we won't know how much and at what quality until a month or two before harvest.

The best time to reach out is between the beginning of May, as our decisions generally must be made by the end of July.

I'm a wine writer. How do I request information?

Happy to help, to share data about ourselves and the Valley, and the dish out the inside down low dirt on what it's like to work with our famous winemaking partners. Spoiler alert: They're amazing.

What is the Ferrington Vineyard Designate program?

The Ferrington Vineyard Designate program isn't complicated. It just means we've given you our best work and that that we expect you to do yours.

Does all Ferrington fruit go into vineyard-designated bottlings?

No. Some goes to partner wineries under an Anderson Valley appellation. Some goes to partners who want us to emphasize tonnage over quality. Sometimes its fruit from a part of the vineyard that we're still working on and the quality isn't where want it to be. The fruit is still B+ or A-, and you're going to love it.

Let us know if you're curious about the secret menu.

How does a winery become a partner?

We care about your reputation, credentials, pedigree and experience but we care a lot more that you love Ferrington Vineyard, The Anderson Valley, and the cool climate varietals we grow here.

We do not work with assholes.

Is Ferrington Vineyards open to visitors?

Ferrington Vineyards is a working vineyard, not a tasting room or public destination; if you reach out to your favorite Ferrington winery and tell them you're Ferrington-curious, and they ask us to show you around, we're happy to do that - but you'll need to bring the wine.

My winery has sourced from Ferrington before but isn't listed here.

Our public data is built from recent harvest allocations, and may not capture earlier relationships. We want to include every winery that has worked with Ferrington fruit and made good wine, or even mistake wines they have made and think of wistfully. So if your winery has sourced from us in the past, and isn't listed, let us know what you bought, how much you bought, and when you bought it, and we'll figure out what to do.

How was this site built? Can I commission something similar for my vineyard or winery?

Sure. We'll hook you up.
