La Rochelle

La Rochelle continues the Mirassou family’s Pinot Noir and Chardonnay work. When the family name was sold in the late 1990s, Steven Mirassou kept America’s first wine club — founded in 1963 — and narrowed the focus to those two varieties. Chuck Easley, who learned the craft at Mirassou in the 1980s, now stewards the label from Glen Ellen.

They bottle single-vineyard Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from a handful of California sites. At Ferrington they take clone 17 Chardonnay from D-1 and Pommard from F-1 East.
